1) Editorial Responsibilities

  • Ensure impartial and fair manuscript evaluation.

2) Author Responsibilities

  • Submit only original work with accurate data and methods.
  • Acknowledge sources, funding, and contributors appropriately.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest and adhere to ethical standards for human and animal research.

3) Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
  • Respect confidentiality of the review process.
  • Report suspected ethical concerns, plagiarism, or duplicate submission.

4) Research Integrity and Misconduct

APPS considers misconduct to include fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and unethical research practices. Suspected cases are investigated following COPE flowcharts, with outcomes ranging from manuscript rejection to retraction.

5) Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

The journal issues corrections for minor errors, retractions for major integrity breaches, and expressions of concern when investigations are ongoing. Each action is linked to the original article for transparency.

6) Transparency and Disclosure

  • Disclose funding and financial support.
  • Declare author contributions clearly (using CRediT taxonomy where possible).
  • Publish conflict-of-interest statements with accepted articles
